The Money Shot is a dark-comedy-cross between Boogie Nights and Larry Sanders. The traditional elements here are solid: the writing is funny; the characters are dimensional; the issues are framed with a sly ambiguity, allowing an audience to make its own judgments. The creative team has forged careers in both the adult and mainstream industries, and lends an authenticity to this project that "outsiders" have not been able to and could never realize.

The porn backdrop guarantees the marketability of the movie: Porn is hip, and a comedy in this universe, with interesting characters and plenty of nudity, is instantly salable. Provisions have been made for name talent - not major stars, but people who could be forces in both the domestic and foreign markets.

The story is non-linear; it's told in chapters, Pulp Fiction-style, with the same three days spinning out from the point of view of four different characters, occasionally intersecting. This kind of storytelling is cutting-edge, and will go a long way toward making The Money Shot fresh, original and noteworthy.

Also, the creative team is poised to bring to bear unique marketing skills that will make this project a success, including the development of several already-registered Internet sites. This and other audience-building techniques are set to create blockbuster interest.
